Sony's VPL-VW100 front projector joins the Grand Wega line of products that employ the company's latest SXRD chipset, which is capable of delivering more than 2 million pixels to fully display high-definition television (HDTV) material. In the case of the VPL-VW100, the projector incorporates three of the SXRD chips, a 400-watt xenon lamp and a 1.8x-powered lens to enable the projector to produce a bright, well-defined image. The unit operates quietly with fan noise levels at a low 22dB, and it offers HDMI, DVI-D, RGB and component inputs.
