Digital Media for Everyone: Leviton Manufacturing and Dedicated Devices, Incorporated (DDI), have updated their joint product, the Leviton Entertainment & Application Platform (LE&AP) to make the product easier to use and more compatible with today's popular technologies. The system is designed to integrate into a structured-wiring system and it allows users to distribute audio, video and data throughout their homes . Some of the new features that Leviton and DDI have added to the system include RealNetwork's Rhapsody Digital Music Service, which offers homeowners the ability to download and buy thousands of songs and store them on their LE&AP systems, as well as the ability to set up playlists and stream a variety of Rhapsody radio stations. The system also has options for up to 1Terabyte of content storage, and it is compatible with MPEG 2, MPEG 4, DiVX and a number of other video formats.-- Robert Archer
