The SMS3-250 media server from Russound not only comes with 250 GB of hard drive space but also has options for playing digital music and displaying digital pictures anywhere in the home. The unit's hard drive can handle even the largest music libraries, storing up to six months of music and can also deliver up to three independent sources of music simultaneously, allowing different members of the family to enjoy their own music at the same time. The SMS3-250 also includes a Personal Media Assistant (PMA) that can act as a virtual deejay, playing favorite songs more frequently and demoting songs that are played less often. The unit's new software also gives users more cover art and slide-viewing options. Users can update album art and easily store JPEG images in a folder and create slideshows that can be broadcast on any display in the house.
