Cary Audio's new Designer Series of products is headlined by the new CD 306 SACD player that is capable of playing back CDs and Super Audio CDs (SACD) to the very highest levels. The 306 incorporates technologies that ensure both CDs and SACDs sound their best. The player utilizes elements such as eight of the latest digital-to-analog (D/A) converters to efficiently and accurately decipher digital information, and separate power supplies to isolate the 306's circuitry during CD and SACD playback. In addition, the 306 also includes Cary's exclusive "upsampling" technology, which can increase the amount of information that the player reads when a CD is in use. The upsampling technology is designed to improve the sound of a homeowner's CD collection, and it can process a CD's 16-bit/44kHz encoding standard all the way up to 24-bit/768kHz.
