Flat panel weights continue to lower and the next generation plasma panels can certainly fall in the 40lb weight range. 

As with any installation, the steps taken to achieve a successful installation can be broken up into pre-operational, operational, and post-operational tasks. For the purposes of this installation video, we chose to focus on the operational tasks that aid most in the installation process, such as installing the panel spacers on the television and drilling the holes in the wall. The installation requires three basic steps to achieve, each of which requires smaller supportive tasks to be successful that are for the most part intuitive. Three of the 4 holes were pre-drilled in the interest of keeping a clean set for the camera equipment etc. The demonstration given actually does show a fresh hole being drilled, and drilling the hole through the wall bracket is no more involved that what was shown other than multiplying it by four times.
In addition, extensive testing has been done using 4 drywall anchors used as instructed with this mount, and we have determined a rating that will be UL tested up to 40lbs in drywall alone.  If you wish to use this mount for a heavier television such as a plasma television, you will need to mount two of the wall brackets on either side into a wooden stud, and then the other two wall brackets can be mounted into drywall for additional support. We have performed many pull tests and are comfortable with these weight ratings when the product is used as instructed. The four drywall anchors when used properly will support a 40lb television, and when two of the wall brackets are anchored into a wooden stud using the supplied screws, with the other two in the drywall, they will support an 80lb television.

lol…I like attractive women just as much as any guy, but that “instructional” video was laughable at best. beyond the fact that the girl didn’t seem to understand everything she was reading…entire steps were skipped (template magically appears on wall??) and holes seemed to be pre-drilled. As much as I like the idea of an easy mount, there is no way I am trusting an expensive flat panel to be held up by what is basically 4 screws with drywall sheaths. Of course, I’m not surprised that the limit is 42” and 40lbs…which automatically disqualifies any plasma panel.

p.s. resting your arm against the screen of a flat panel is probably never a good idea no matter how good looking you are. :)

The TV still sits 1.25” off the wall. We tested with many cables and most cleared the wall even with a rear input. You can also use right-angle RCA’s or if you’re using HDMI cables, there are right-angle HDMI adapters that will turn your rear inputs into inputs that are parallel to the wall.

Which 20” panel are you trying to locate the VESA installation pattern on? Samsung currently has one line of product that does not include VESA mounting patterns - and for the case of all mounts you cannot “wall mount” this panel without an additional adapter. Important note - we do not recommend in any installation that you drill holes in the back of your panel for installation. The wall anchors that are used were selected after testing in excess of 15 different anchors for drywall installation. There is extensive research done during development including weight ratings for drywall anchors as well as load testing for installation - which is where the installation loads come from. Mechanical analysis along with installation tests are all conducted with all OmniMount products to test their performance as well as provide the safety and security for all OmniMount customers.
